A sea turtle above a reef with sunlight filtering through the water

The Philippines · Through my lens

There is another world below.

Sunlight reaches through the water as a turtle moves above the reef. Another landscape begins just below the islands.

The journey, in detail

The right islands depend on the season, what you want to do and how slowly you want to travel.

Journey ideas

Ways to shape
your journey.

01 · Below the surface

Let the diving lead

Start with the conditions, the marine life you hope to see and your experience in the water. From there, choose the islands rather than simply choosing a familiar resort.

02 · Above the surface

Leave time for the islands

Balance days underwater with quiet beaches, local places and volcanic scenery. Island transfers take time, so the route should never feel rushed.

We will choose the islands, dive sites, places to stay and connections around your dates and experience in the water.

What to expect

What the days
can look like.

01

Each island has its season

Conditions vary across the country. We look at the exact region rather than relying on one weather rule for every island.

02

Transfers take time

Boat transfers and domestic flights can take up much of a day. We allow for that so you have time to enjoy each island.

03

The ocean has the final say

Visibility and marine encounters are never guaranteed. Good operators respond to the conditions and keep the experience responsible.

Planning questions

Before you
decide.

When is the best time to visit the Philippines?
Broadly, the drier months run from about December to May, and typhoons are most likely between roughly June and November. Conditions differ from one region to another, so we check the islands you are considering rather than relying on one rule.
How do you get around the islands?
Most international flights arrive in Manila or Cebu. From there, domestic flights and boats connect the islands. Transfers take time, so a journey with fewer islands and longer stays is usually more rewarding.
Do I need to dive?
Not at all. Many reefs are wonderful for snorkelling, and the islands also offer beaches, volcanoes and quiet days on the water. If you do dive, we match the sites to your certification and experience.
How does planning with STARS & ROADS work?
You tell us your dates, interests, budget and preferred pace, and Reem replies personally. We confirm the scope and fee before any work begins, then build a route with places to stay and experiences around you. You can choose the itinerary design on its own, or ask us to handle the bookings as well.
